This weekend was very exciting. Well not really. It was typical. I spent aroudn 4 hours today (taking a lot of breaks) oon my English presentation. I love my group! They rock! Our presentation will be on Borowski. I am very excited about it. Infact, i spent about 20 mins writing up our contract. I will just let u read it. I am too tired now. Going to go to bed now : Have fun
CONTRACT
. Group name L-I-M-B-O
2. Fellow Limboites Narendhra Seshadri, Megan Stewart, Kaley Vandehey, Katherine Trainer, Eileen Chang, Johng Yo compromise the wonderful and most successful group called L-I-M-B-O
3. When & how the group will meet L-I-M-B-O members are wise in choosing to meet both online and in person. Meetings are held in the library porch on Mondays @ 6pm. This time is so wonderful and so amazingly blessed that we have kept it our online chatting time as well. Through the wonderful world of AIM, the members of L-I-M-B-O delve into the magical world of "literature" to possibly analyze and exchange wonderful resources of information. (Sep 17, Sep 24, and Oct 8 are the days that fellow Limboites have/will colloborate(d))
4. How slackers will be punished The L-I-M-B-O group consists of a variety of talented individuals. Limboites do NOT know the meaning of the word slackers and suppose that this case does arise they will obviously be thrown into the last circle of Dante's Inferno where they will be burnt alive. Realistically speaking, slackers will not be tolerated. If a Limboite is found to be "slacking off" they will be responsible for a very MAJOR (99%) of the next group presentation. But we dont anticipate misery, we anticipate success (as our 9:35 class already knows by our streak of victories).
5. How disputes will be resolved To Dispute, or not to dispute ...that is the question that a Limboite will never come across because Disputes exist only for the weak. However, in the extreme cases if a dispute does occur, it will be resolved democratically (by majority vote). There is also one very unlikely situation (a tie as there are 6 members) => If this happens we will draw names from a hat to declare the winner. However, this is very unlikely because the Limboites have discovered something called "group effort" where disputes are unheard of.
6. How work will be divided. L-I-M-B-O members are fortunate to have six members. This will allow an even distibution. Katherine Trainer and Eileen Chang will work on the lecture (analyze the data, find a suitable and appropriate way to teach the class and also have fun!), while Narendhra Seshadri and Johng Yo will create a "L-I-M-B-O istic game called ......"IRONY IN THE MIDDLE" . The game will be something creative (obviously!) and compromise of members gathering themselves in a circle. It will be something like "PIGGY IN THE MIDDLE" but more creative, original and more exciting!! Basically, there will be a person in the middle asking questions. Two people in the circle will have the answer. They have to switch places before the person in the middle takes their place. It will be fast paced, action oriented and even enduring! Ofcourse, reading the book is required to do well in this game. However, skill, coordination and intelligence also plays a crucial role. Finally, there will be a very interesting way to teach the class about Irony. This will be taken care by Megan Stewart and Kaley Vandehey who will be creating skits for the groups to act out. The best group will win a prize.
Finally, last but not least, the very kind and friendly members of L-I-M-B-O would like to wish the class the best of luck!
Signing off for L-I-M-B-O
Narendhra Eileen Kaley Megan Johng Katherine
