its been a while since i posted here. i will be getting done with my internship here at Siemens this Friday. Its been an interesting experience. Rakesh, the other intern here will also be leaving to work for Motorola. I got a full time job with Accenture (A global consulting firm) in downtown Atlanta so it should be fun. I will be commuting by MARTA and taking classes part time for my masters (in EE). Today I am just dazed for a strange reason. I am printing out stuff and trying to be organized. Yesterday I went to Barnes and Noble and picked up 2 Cd's (Now 15 and Now 16) because they both had a lot of really good songs that I like (Toxic, 100 Years, The Reason is You, With You). I cant believe that summer is nearly over and Tech is going to start again. It feels funny to be a freshmen (a graduate one anyway!). I was talked to Jen the other day and Josh and was wondering if I should rejoin the Technique. I want to be involved with campus but not too much as I know I wont have the time in between work and classes.
Sometimes its good to do many things because you feel like you are busy and productive. However, sometimes doing too many things makes you feel like you are spending less quality time with the people you care for. I think this past year having finished my bachelors was a great feeling. I thought "hey I'll be done with classes and finally have a degree and hopefully not so much more stressful studying/cramming for last minute tests!" While I didnt have classes to worry about over the summer I had many other things that kept my busy. I restarted piano lessons with Peggy Still School of Music and am working for my level 5 exams in the fall. I have carnatic (indian classical music vocal) lessons with Preeti acca. Thendral practice with the upcoming fall programs (South Indian Cultural Program, Novemeber charity show). On top of that Siemens and my part time tutoring job at Atlanta Country Day School. I have many small things around the house that need to get done. I dont really get a chance to go to Tech and meet my friends. It just seems that life after graduation seems so drastically different.
Maybe things will be different in the Fall. I will try to be focused and make time at least on Friday's and weekends because I realized that once you are out of school you tend to drift away and your priorities shift. I think that at least while I am in school (finishing up my masters till Spring 06) I should be in touch. Its not that I dont enjoy my life and schedule, I still want to have more college memories. I will probably write for the Technique (either news or focus). I have 2 clasess Monday's and Wednesday's (Principles of Management for Engineers and Linear Systems & Controls) - 3 to 6. I will work in the morning from 7 to 3 at Accenture. So hopefully I will get into a routine schedule where I can balance my school work, social stuff and office work well.
